Rock ist ein weltweites Phänomen, und in dieser Sendung präsentiere ich ausschließlich Neuigkeiten aus Südamerika. Es handelt sich dabei um bei uns völlig unbekannte Bands, die aus Peru, Chile, Ecuador und Brasilien stammen.

Gemeinsam haben die vier Bands, die ich vorstelle, dass sie alle den Gesang auf Englisch haben und somit auf den internationalen Markt abzielen. Was ihnen gelingen möge.

1988 war die Band Guns N´Roses in ihrer Bestform, und dieser Mitschnitt mehrerer Konzerte in Japan aus diesem Jahr zeigt dies eindrucksvoll.

Axl Rose am Gesang und Slash an der Gitarre werden bei dieser Aufnahme von den Bandkollegen Izzy Stradlin an der Rhythmusgitarre, Ole Beich am Bass und Steven Adler am Schlagzeug begleitet.
